Happy Saturday!!!!!

It is finally Saturday I have been home almost a week. Ive been resting and chillin.
Went to have a oil change done on my little Honda. They wanted to do a 30,000 mile engine thing they do for get this 600.00. I said if it aint broke I aint fixing it!!!!! They arent nikel and diming me......
Those dealers see a women coming and they think we are vulnerable!!!!!
I broke down and baught a new laptop. Cause I sat on my Acer and cracked the screen and I couldnt use it. So Carl is using it on the modem. I got a Dell. I hope it is faster than the Acer. I got it from QVC.
It has a faster processor than the acer and a better screen!!!!!
My friend has a dell and I liked hers So I decided to get one like hers.
My great Nephew is turning one today. I cant believe he is one already. I am not going to his party in October cause I am not getting along with my sister his grandma. My sister thinks she is my mother and I am undermining her!!!!! I am a grown women and I dont think I have to listen to her. She surely isnt my mother!!!!! That is a story for another day!!!!!
Anyway it is 0122am here and I am feeling the sandman coming so Ill check in later. Talk on coffee might be brewing later. Join me in a cuppa later.

I have a busy weekend ahead of me. Today, I am cutting out ghosts, hundreds of them, for a Kids Craft Tent at my agency's Pumpkinfest in October. When I am not on the computer, I'll be cutting them. This evening is my regular AA group's 48th Group Anniversary meeting, which means loads of people, food, fun and fellowship. It looks to be fun. I am making cookies for it. My sponsor and sponsee should be there.

We went to the Octoberfest last night and saw Elvis Aaron Presley Jr!!!!!!! OMG he was GOOD!!!!!!!! Sounds like his dad but some of the notes he can't hit....LOL I did get his autograph AND touch him!!!!!! WOW!!!!!! Got my boss coming next week for a group meeting with all of us and one of the tenants. Seems our dear sweet handyman is in trouble!! Ofcourse he denies it but this meeting will be the end of it I am sure!!!!! After last night at the festival if I would have heard him he would no longer have his keys!!!!!!! He was mouthing off to Rick about me sitting on my ass all day doing nothing while HE works his ass off!!! Excuse me....how does he know what I do all day? Does he slip around and watch what I do all day???????? I know you all want me to fire his ass and I soooo want to!!!!!! It is Rick that stops me from doing it. He wants our boss here to get this finished on this trouble that came up!!! Soooooooooo hear I sit again BUT he opens his mouth to me on ANYTHING he is DONE!!!!! And I told Rick that also!!!!!!!!! It was agreed on!!!!
It is 45* here today and the sun is out...yippppeeee!!!!! I am not looking forward to this cold...makes my hip and leg hurt!!
Not sure what we will do today besides RELAX...seems like we never get to do this but we do try....lol. Don't need any groceries have plenty of food...good thing!!! Got all the bills paid up need to do the checkbook though. So that is about all my news for today.

I have a Dell from QVC and I love it. I'm very happy with it.
I got a 17-inch screen, so nice and big.
My big news today was I got to go to the bathroom ... first I went to the commode, then to the toilet. So much pee coming out! After having the catheter in for two days, it was nice to pee on my own. It was difficult to get up and go to the bathroom ... my arm hurts from getting up. OUch!
I have PT again today... yesterday I trhrew up in the group therapy session and also fell asleep. The percocet worked well at cutting down the pain, but it also makes me so sleepy. So we cut it down to one. Hopefully, it works.
Well, not much else happening. I get a mesage a day from my cat sitter and Juliette ... yeserday she sent me a photo with a get well card. So sweet.

Eileen: so good to see you posting....hope all goes well....wish I could visit but you are too far away! Keep your chin up and good luck with the move to the rehab facility when it happens...hope it turns out as nice a place as when you checked it out, and the weather isn't gloomy and rainy coz it helps to feel better when the sun is out, and by then you might be able to poke your nose outside for some fresh air...

Well, our grandson is officially a sailor. He had a few hours with his family, had to be back on base at 7 PM, left for airport and his 'A' school at 2 AM. Our son and his family spent the night and started home this morning. They were gonna start home last night, but I'm sure they were all emotional.
Our daughter DID sign her paperwork yesterday, her ex signs his Monday, it goes to the judge Tuesday. Hopefully he signs it Tuesday or Wednesday. Our daughter has decided to find a house to rent for a year or so until she is sure of her finances and is sure she is out from under the other house. Then she will think about buying again.
I woke up at 4 AM with a migraine. Took one of my Imitrex. Slept til 7 AM. But now I am all muzzy headed. I will feel this way all day and I hate it. I need to talk to the doc about something to take if I get one of these headaches in the afternoon. I don't want to take an Imitrex cause I'll sleep all day. So I just go lay down in a quiet dark room. It never really totally gets rid of the headache. Grrrrr!!
Carla, Anderson Cooper did a segment about women paying more for lots of things. Two things that really stood out. A man took a shirt in to be cleaned, cost...$1.75. Ten minutes later, a woman took the exact shirt into the exact cleaners....$5.00. Same with pants that needed to be hemmed. Almost twice as much for a woman.
Judy, that guy needs to go! Surely there are others out there that are qualified and would be thrilled to have the job.

Working a double shift today, I need to get out and walk around the hospital!!
doggie sitting my granddogs Ms. Cookie and Libby. Well those 2 took off like Greyhounds yesterday and ran for almost 3 hours. (can you say Freedom Run???) LOL
Hubby and I were frantic, calling out for them and taking turns riding round in our cars looking for them in the country, lots of fields and it's dog heaven for running. Now Cookie is a little Boston Terrier and Libby is part lab. Finally found them by myself at the end of our country block. Cookie was so happy to see me and jumped in the car, Ms. Libby refused to get in and would run and play catch me if you can. Damn dog!!!
So I just rolled down my window and yelled at her to follow the car, I was amazed she did. She ran 25 miles an hour according to my speedometer. Hubby was so glad to have found them but Libby is confined in our kennel (dog coup) it's large one with a dog house and a nice deck to sun themselves on. That Libby is not getting out again. What an adventure for those 2.
Cookie slept the rest of the day, how she kept up with Libby is a miracle.
Nothing new with me. Hubby will be leaving for Kentucky for some 4 wheeling next week with his buddies. I will take time and relax and read my books while he's gone. For some reason he hates for me to read when he's around. I wish I could get him hooked on reading. That's not gonna happen. Maybe I should learn to do some wood working. LOL Hugs Debbie

It's a rainy, rainy weekend here in the Hill Country. But we don't mind. We need the rain. Plus it's cooler here today. Always a blessing.
Today is hubby's last full day at home. Not sure what we're going to do today. We brought back my big refrigerator (it was in the garage at the house at Nac) and we need to wrestle it into the kitchen here and find a place to move the current frig (which is way too small). I would like to put the second frig in the utility room, but it is filled with all of Christie's boxes. We are busting at the seams here.

I am home from Iowa now!! It is all very bitter sweet. Nic was there with me every time he wasn't working. He missed me so much!! Grace was attached to me all the time except when she was in school. She wants me to come back so badly. I am torn!!
I just brought in all my luggage and some other things I had left in Iowa when I moved. I managed to get everything unpacked and put in the places they belong. Took the luggage back out to the garage. NOW I CAN RELAX!!
